The Aquabats!

Punk rock’s superheroes, The Aquabats, formed in 1994 in Orange County as a way to have
some harmless fun in a music scene that took itself too seriously. Their Paul Frank designed
“power belts,” trademark rash guards, black eye masks, “anti-negativity” helmets and onstage
antics quickly caught on, earning the group a fiercely loyal following that spans generations.
Their line-up and music is continuously evolving, including Blink 182’s Travis Barker as former
drummer "Baron Von Tito."
In 2012, the band debuted The Aquabats! Super Show!, a live-action musical action comedy
television series which aired on the Hub Network. The show received eight multiple Daytime
EMMY nominations and one win.
To date, The Aquabats’ music library includes The Return of the Aquabats (1996), The Fury of
the Aquabats! (1997), The Aquabats vs. The Floating Eye of Death (1999), Myths, Legends and
Other Amazing Adventures, Vol. 2 (2000), Yo! Check Out This Ride! (EP, 2004) Charge!!
(2005), Radio Down! (EP, 2010), Hi-Five Soup! (2011), and 2020’s newest addition - full studio
album Kooky Spooky... In Stereo!
Current members are Christian Jacobs as “The MC Bat Commander” (lead singer), Chad
Larson as “Crash McLarson” (bass, vocals), Ian Fowles as “Eaglebones Falconhawk” (guitar),
Richard Falomir as “Ricky Fitness” (drums), and James Briggs, as "Jimmy the Robot”
(keyboards, woodwinds, vocals).

Manic Hispanic

This punk rock supergroup seems to have been doomed for the “clink-clink” (up the river, the Big House, jail, etc, etc) from their inception in the early 1990's. At a suggestions by a certain member’s PO as an attempt to keep the Barrio safe from these homeboys, Manic Hispanic was formed by members whose illustrious histories have not only included several stints in OC County Jail, but classic bands like The Adolescents, Cadillac Tramps, The Grabbers, Punk Rock Karaoke, The X-Members, 22 Jacks, Final Conflict, and Agent Orange, Left Alone, Death By Stereo and Voodoo Glow Skulls.

Like the mighty Mexican super group Menudo before them, the idea was simple and to the point, when some of the homies either get locked up, have a grip of kids and can’t leave the crib or retire, some of the younglings from different bands or clikas would be added to keep the spirit and banda alive for generations to come. Sadly El Jefe went to the big slam pit in the sky to keep trucha over the youngsters on the street. Hoakie ( En Paz descanse) recruited Juan Solo (Vulturas) to help with vocals and car radio pullout jackings. El Dreamer was also added to the mix for his vast knowledge of where the best swap meets are at and his way of throwing chingasos with his words on stage. Together they got down and recorded what was to become “Back in Brown” a collection of 10 firme cover songs that hit hard like your hefas chancla when you act stupid. Sadly el grupo suffered another great loss as Hoakie immigrated to the heavens above in 2018. The banda hit up punk rock wilmero Elvis to help play guitar on a few songs for Hoakie B-day Bash at Alex’s bar later that year. The vibe was all respect to the past OG’s and with the idea to keep el espirito going the band jumped in Elvis outside Alex’s bar on Anaheim street and the rest is history.

With some OG’s and some new blood the future looks a bright like Aztec gold spray painted rims, if they can manage to stay out the pinta or not get deported.

sullvn

California collective sullvn crafts a sound that spans ska and reggae, infused with pop-punk melodies and a spirit reminiscent of The Clash. Anchored by an elite lineup - including accomplished bassist James East (Eric Clapton, Elton John, Michael Jackson), guitarist Brian Jordan (James Brown, Dave Matthews Band, The Allman Brothers Band), and powerhouse horn players Gabrial McNair and Stephen Bradley of No Doubt - the band delivers a sound that’s both massive and unmistakably current.
At the center is frontman Robert “Sully” Sullivan, whose larger-than-life presence and raw, anthemic delivery drive the project’s new era. sullvn is currently releasing a run of singles produced by John “Feldy” Feldmann (Blink-182, Good Charlotte, 5 Seconds of Summer), bringing a polished, high-impact edge to their horn-driven, genre-blurring sound. Their collaboration with Mighty Mighty Bosstones frontman Dicky Barrett further cements their place in the genre’s evolving legacy while pushing it forward.
With new music rolling out via Big Noise Music Group and a sound built for packed rooms and festival stages, sullvn is ushering in a bold new chapter - merging groove, grit, and soaring brass into a live experience that feels both rooted and revolutionary.
